Richard Parsakian is the production and costume designer for 404 Strand. Previous work has included Burn This (David Conrad), Take Me Out (barebones productions), and, for Quantum Theatre: Museum of Desire, The Collected Works of Billy The Kid (2007 Festival Otono, Madrid), El Paso Blue, Voluptuous Tango, Dog Face (2005 Festival Otono, Madrid), Closer, Indian Ink, Betrayal, and The Collection. He has also designed for Dance Alloy Theater, Labco Dance, and Physical Theatre Project, among others. Upcoming productions include Quantum's Candide and barebones productions' Glengarry Glen Ross. He will also be the guest visual artist at the November 14th Pillow Project performance.
Richard has produced fashion events for The Andy Warhol Museum and designed events that have benefited Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force, Persad Center, Pittsburgh Center For The Arts, Dance Alloy Theater, Pittsburgh Glass Center, Pittsburgh Dance Council, Pittsburgh Ballet Dancer's Trust, and the Mario Lemieux Cancer Foundation. Richard was the producer of the Ellsworth Music, Dance & Arts Showcase and has created installations for The Three Rivers Arts Festival & Pittsburgh's First Night. He is a board member of Pittsburgh Dance Council, KnotDance, and honorary boards of Squonk Opera, Dance Alloy Theater, and Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. Richard is on the organizing committee for Pittsburgh Pridefest, development committee of PATF, and is the owner of EONS Fashion Boutique. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
